Anffas Cremona Onlus, is looking for 1 volunteer for a long-term EVS project lasting 12 months, activities starting from June 2018. The project will present to the deadline of 28th January 2018.

Description of the organisation:

Anffas Cremona-Onlus is a volunteer organization established in Cremona in 1966 and it aims to ensure the welfare and protection of people with mental and / or relational disabilities and their families, working primarily to embody the principles of equal opportunity and anti-discrimination and social inclusion.

The centrality of the people is a part of the Anffas Cremona Onlus mission; a lot of activities in favour of persons with disabilities and their families have been undertaken; the method of work of the Association reflects the UN – ONU Convention “on the rights of persons with disabilities” in guaranteeing everyday life, promoting, protecting and ensuring the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and all fundamental freedoms.

Our association wants to spread European culture through the presence of European volunteers.

Project summary:

The volunteer will partecipate and assist in various activities of the organisation. The role of volunteer is to support the team work in different activities with people with disabilities like expressive activity, newspaper activity, knitting and needlework, geography, kitchen and recycling activity, sports activities and trips.

Volunteer profile:

The volunteer should be motivated and willing to work with people with mental and physical disabilities. The volunteer needs to have good communication skills, to be responsible, creative, tolerant, flexible, open-minded, able to adapt to new environment and work in autonomous and as a part of the team. Previous experience in work with disabled people and language skills are not required.

The volunteer must be registered in the European Solidarity Corps.

The volunteer is also required adaptability, openness to new ideas and new activities that they will be proposed. Open-minded and friendly.
